## Crypto Short Sellers Bleed $400M in One Day as Bitcoin Rallies to $69K
The crypto market just had one hell of a day. So here is what went down: Bitcoin bounced back above $69,000 yesterday, and over $400 million worth of short positions got absolutely wrecked. For context, BTC had dipped below $63,000 on Tuesday, but then it snapped back and hit $69,869. Still down 21% from the last 30 days, but at least it is going in the right direction now. The real winners? Ethereum and Solana. ETH jumped 12% to $2,075, while SOL surged almost 14% to nearly $89. These two had been getting crushed lately, so this is a nice rebound. Overall crypto market up about 6.6% in 24 hours. Other big gainers include Polkadot, Filecoin, Uniswap, Aptos, Avalanche, and Chainlink - all double-digit gains. The short liquidations were brutal. Bitcoin leading with around $200M liquidated, Ethereum next at $153M, and Solana at about $22M. Crypto stocks are on fire too. Circle popped 29% after earnings, Figure is up 15%, BitMine Immersion Technologies up 14%, Coinbase up 13%, Strategy up nearly 9%, and MARA Holdings up 7%. Meanwhile, prediction markets are showing slightly more confidence - users now give a 43% chance Bitcoin goes to $84,000 next instead of falling to $55K. That is up 14% from yesterday.
